Samsung 2020 QLED Lineup

Samsung 2020 QLED Lineup

Samsung has already launched the majority of its new televisions for 2020. This means the market has new QLED sets, both in Ultra HD 4K and 8K resolution, and a new addition to Samsung's Lifestyle lineup of design-focused T.V.s.

Although the manufacturing has been disturbed due to the current coronavirus pandemic, it's possible several models could land on best T.V. list.  Not all the models will be available, and many may have limited stock.

Here's everything you need to know about Samsung's 2020 T.V. lineup.

MICRO LED TV

The wall giant MicroLED TV, which stretches from floor to the ceiling is arguably the most significant innovation by Samsung. In terms of color quality, HDR performance and black levels, the technology promises to offer impressive results and will be a true competitor to OLED.

Q800T 8K QLED TVs

When it comes to 8K QLED sets, Samsung's announced lineup is the largest in the industry by far. In the U.S., Samsung will be offering the Q800T, the Q900TS, and the Q950TS, which split the 8K QLED line into the mainstream, mid-tier and premium model lines, respectively. It may sound a little crazy that 8K T.V.s are "mainstream" at this point, Samsung is positioning the 8K QLED sets as the new premium flagship models, and offer at sizes and prices that are far more understandable than any other manufacturer has offered.

From 65 inches to 82 inches, Q800T OLED 8K T.V. is the most affordable of the U.S. series. Every feature presented on 8K sets is accessible on the Q800T, from high-powered Quantum Processor 2.0 8K with DLSR upscaling FALD backlight and Samsung's Tracking Sound.

On the manufacturer's Lifestyle line of design-oriented, Samsung's T.V. demo puts a mobile twist T.V.s with The Sero.  Sero is Korean for VERTICAL

The Sero is aimed at Gen Z, that are sort of glued-to-the-smartphone. A user that wants a T.V. that can handle video that's not augmented for outdated widescreen, horizontal T.V. form factors.

It has rotation to switch from landscape to portrait to accommodate better, just like the vertical videos seen on social media sites. With an integrated NFC chip with one-tap pairing with smartphones, the Sero will only allow easy sharing of on-screen content, and it will also mimic the orient the phone it is paired to.

Flip it vertically, and the T.V. will rotate into portrait mode. Switch back to the landscape, and the T.V. will automatically rotate back to the horizontal position.

Samsung Premium UHD LED TVs

Available in a wide range of prices and sizes, both T.U. Models are powered by its Crystal 4K Processor, which offers a decent video upscaling and processing. It is captivating how the T.U. Series offer HLG and HDR10 for standard HDR content, it doesn't support its own HDR10+ format.

While Samsung's QLED gets most of the spotlight, some of the popular models by Samsung are still standard LCD TVs. With 4K resolution, affordable prices, and a good version of Samsung's Tizen smart T.V. podium, these budget-friendly models are big sellers all year long.

Plus, this year, Samsung is apprising this part of the lineup with two new series,

  1. The TU7000
  2. The TU8000 Crystal UHD 4K
